The City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of Athletic Activities for Youths. Some are directly sponsored by the department while others are offered in conjunction with another co-sponsoring organization.
Birth certificates are required for first time participants at time of registration for the following events.
- Yuma Futbol League
- Yuma Youth Soccer Association
- Yuma Girls Fast-Pitch/T-Ball League
- Pop-Warner Football
- Yuma Boys Baseball League
- Babe Ruth Baseball
Registration usually begins 4-6 weeks before program/event starts. Registration fees vary and unless otherwise indicated, you must be registered to participate in an event.
Following are some of our annual Youth Sports activities for Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Please note this list does not include all activities offered.
- Winter
- Jr. High Girls Basketball and Boys Grasshopper Basketball. On-line registration is available for these activities.
- Yuma Youth Soccer Association is a co-sponsored event. Each participant must complete a registration form in order to participate in event.
- Spring
- Little People Olympics and Bike Rodeo. On-line registration is available for these events.
- Basketball Bonanza is a FREE event.
- Yuma Boys Baseball League and Yuma Girls Fastpitch/T-Ball League are co-sponsored events. Each participant must complete a registration form in order to participate in event.
- Summer
- Summer Sports Clinics and Water Athletics. On-line registration is available for these events.
- Babe Ruth Baseball is a co-sponsored event. Each participant must complete a registration form in order to participate in event.
- Fall
- Boys Fallball Baseball, Girls Cricket Basketball, Boys Jr. High Basketball, PeeWee Basketball and Girls Teeny Bopper Softball. On-line registration is available for these activities.
- Yuma Futbol League, Pop Warner Football and Yuma In-Line Hockey League are co-sponsored events. Each participant must complete a registration form in order to participate in event.
- Border Madness Softball Tournament is a co-sponsored event. For registration information, contact Joel Olea at (928) 314-0904 or email Joel at oleaj@netzero.com.
- Punt, Pass, and Kick Challenge is a FREE event.
- Year-Round
