Residents of the City of Yuma between the ages of 14 and 20 and interested in a career in law enforcement, are eligible for the Police Explorer Program. 

The program was established to enhance the relationship between City of Yuma youth and our community. The Explorers meets every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Yuma Police Department Community Training Room.

Program participants receive training on police procedures, such as investigations, communications, traffic control and fingerprinting. The group also assists the City of Yuma Police Department in planning and hosting community-wide events.
