The principal purpose of the City of Yuma Limited Commercial (B-1) District is to provide for business and retail uses which primarily serve the everyday shopping needs of the community. The development standards and use restrictions specified for this district are intended to ensure compatibility with neighboring residential districts, while promoting an aesthetically pleasing image along major street frontages. It is also intended that residential uses be provided in conjunction with permitted commercial uses only, which will minimize encroachment from noncommercial activities within the district.
Chapter 154-215 of the City of Yuma Zoning code can provide detail on the permitted principal, accessory and conditional uses, as well as the current development standards.
